January has a way of disappearing before we’ve properly caught our breath.

Today we turn the page to February, and already the routines are back in motion. School has returned, the calendar is filling again, and summer has reminded us it doesn’t do things gently. Forty+ degree days are normal, but this stretch of extreme heat and humidity has felt relentless.

With milestones ahead for birthdays, school events, and the quiet shift that comes with children moving into new chapters, I’ve found myself thinking about how much adults carry, often without realising it.

Not just physically, but mentally and emotionally too.

What caught my eye this week

Some news that gave me pause this week. Australian fashion brand Postie, along with by Willa, will be closing their doors after almost 40 years, following Easter.

Nothing has gone wrong. No drama.
It’s simply the owners choosing to close a long and meaningful chapter.

For decades, this business supported women right around the country. Stylists who built flexible incomes, raised families, met new people, and helped others feel good in their clothes.

Much like craft, skincare, and beauty have done in my own world, fashion became a form of purpose and care for many.

It feels worth acknowledging not with sadness, but with respect.
Some seasons don’t end badly. They end because the work has been done.
