Mental Health & the Workplace

Liptember 2024 - Day 5

This years Liptember research found that 8 in 10 women in the workplace felt that their place of work, could offer better facilities to be manage their mental health. The thing I'm interested to know, is what does that look like? Our workplace has a kitchen with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, fruit bowl, biscuit jar - both sweet & savory, separate male & female bathrooms, a meeting space, RDO's for full time employees, flexible working hours, peer support & guidance. It would be great to see this research further explored to find out exactly what a gold standard of 'mental health support' in the workplace looks like. In my experience, it's the lack of communication that causes most of the issues. This is why the work that Liptember does is so important in bringing these issues up for conversation.
