Halfway Through and Hanging In: The Quiet Wins of Go Pink 2025

We’re halfway through June and I’ll be honest—it’s been tough showing up every day. Not because I don’t believe in the cause (I do), and not because I don’t want to (I really do), but because... it’s cold, I’m tired, and the reaction on socials has been slow. I’ve had days with no likes. No sales. The only donations so far have come from my Mum, my husband, and my personal donation to kick off the campaign.

But here’s what’s keeping me going:

I made a commitment to show up every day during June for the National Breast Cancer Foundation’s Go Pink campaign—and I meant it.

Because there are people out there who can’t show up. Who would give anything to be well enough, strong enough, or still here to do what I’m doing. So I’ll keep going. Even if no one claps..

This daily campaign has reminded me of something an old IT mentor once told me:

“Always know two ways to get something done.”

When my Meta app glitched last week and wouldn’t post my reel, I didn’t give up. I tried another way—and it worked.
That same mindset helped me figure out how to use Picture-in-Picture (PIP) editing for my reels—a small win, but a creative spark I hadn’t felt in ages.

I’ve also been trying out new products, making fresh buttons, and pushing myself to tell little stories in new ways. Those things matter too..

If you're out there, showing up for something that matters and wondering if it’s making a difference—even if no one seems to notice—this is for you:

Don’t quit.

Someone, somewhere will see something you’ve done—maybe not today, maybe not even this month—but in a quiet way, it will inspire or encourage them. You just won’t always get to know about it.

So I’ll still be here. Over on my social pages (follow the links at the top of the page). Still wearing pink every day. Still making pink buttons and wearing pink makeup and sharing little stories that mean something to me.
Because sometimes the most meaningful work happens in silence..
