A mask won’t solve your mental health issues.
Liptember 2024 - Day 21
We're all guilty of wearing a mask from time to time. The reality is, the mask will not solve whatever problem you have. It could make things worse than they need to be. Removing the mask can be the hardest thing but also the best thing. It means you'll find a supportive team of people to help you through. Teamwork makes the dream work. Seek out the help and support you need. Get regular medical checks. You know your body best so if you feel something is not quite right, believe in that gut feeling and get another opinion.
The Liptember research revealed this year that 37% of women who live with ovarian or cervical cancer also experience PTSD. This is a prime example of one issue masking another. It's time to take the masks off.
