From Colour to Care: How to Support Women’s Mental Health

As September winds down, I can hardly believe how quickly this month of colour has gone by. Liptember always feels like a whirlwind. Twenty days so far, twenty shades, and countless conversations that remind me why this cause matters so deeply.

This year, I’ve been blown away by the support. From every vote on my daily lip colours, to every comment, message, and conversation sparked along the way.

But as much as Liptember is about bold lips and raising funds, it’s also about what happens after the colour fades. How do we keep showing up for women’s mental health, not just in September, but all year round?

1. Share the Conversation

Talking about mental health reduces stigma. Whether it’s checking in with a friend, sharing a resource, or admitting “I’m not fine” yourself, every conversation matters.

2. Support Where You Can

This year, I created Beaute Circle Bags, little bundles of beauty and handmade care, designed to raise funds and spark conversations. They’re one way to give back, but there are so many others: donating to a cause, supporting a friend’s fundraiser, or simply buying that $5 lipstick at the checkout.

3. Know the Resources

Sometimes caring means pointing someone (or yourself) to the right support. Here are a few places that can help:

4. Refresh & Reset

Spring is a reminder that fresh starts are always possible. Maybe that’s a new self-care habit, a morning walk, or finally booking that check-up. Looking after our wellbeing isn’t selfish, it’s how we keep showing up for ourselves and others.

Liptember may be one month, but the care, compassion, and conversations it inspires can last all year. Thank you for following along, for supporting my journey, and for being part of this mission to turn colour into care.
