Does your employer offer support?

Liptember 2024 - Day 17

I'm part of the 55%, are you too?

The Liptember research found this year that 55% of working women either don’t have access or aren’t aware if their employers offer support programs.

In my work life, we always reach out for help when we might miss a deadline or are having trouble with an issue in our work. We all support each other as its in the best interests of our clients. We also support each other in terms of getting things off our chests regarding kids, spouses, parents, etc as they all normally come up if we need time away from the office. We also celebrate birthdays and other staff achievements. I'm not aware of any formal support program at any workplace I've ever worked and I've never thought to ask about it either. If you have HR issues there is always a process but other support programs, I've never considered.

Perhaps I'll go back and look at my employment contract and check. What about you?
