Aging - the gift that keeps giving.

Liptember 2024 - Day 18

Only a couple of days ago, we had statistics for our 30 something women and a few days before that, our teens. Now we have our 50+ age group. This years research found that the 50-59 age group is the most affected by depression (50%) and psychological distress (20%) compared to any other age group. Is it because this is the age associated with empty nesters? Is it because these women fail into a critical age bracket for employment. Or is it most likely due to peri-menopause or menopause. Being a woman is certainly full of challenges that our male companions do not go through so keep those communication channels open and seek the help or conversations when you need. My best tip is to keep the fun. Do something fun that you enjoy, regardless of your age and regardless if you friends or family like it or don't like it. Have fun for yourself. You deserve it. Please remind of this in my next decade in a few years.
