Have you ever stabbed yourself with your mascara wand?
Liptember 2024 - Day 19
The pain is real. The tears are real. The embarrassment is real.
How many times have you stabbed your eyeball with your mascara wand yet you keep going back day after day. I once even threw (talented I know) a tube of LipSense directly into my eye before a live tutorial, whilst shaking it.
I'm no medical professional at all but PTSD shows up in people for all sorts of reasons. If you've experienced an incident, and then experience flashbacks, night terrors, night sweats, panic attacks, feelings of loss or loneliness, you may have PTSD. (This is solely based on what I witnessed with my husband - always seek out a medial professional)
In some good news from the Liptember research this year, it showed that 6 in 10 females facing PTSD seek help which is the highest among the top 5 mental health issues. Is it because some of the symptoms I mentioned are real and obvious and cause you sleepless nights - actual issues you can talk to a GP about instead of other more hidden mental health illnesses. Either way, it's great to see a positive directional move where women are seeking help.
